This hard plastic key is vital for the correct operation of break glass units. The key is used to test the device, making sure that it is functioning correctly. It is also used to disengage the alarm that is set by the break glass unit which has been activated.

Resettable break glass units are used as a time efficient solution in an emergency. It works by simply pressing against the unit with your thumb and applying the relevant pressure.

Please Note: When the unit has been pressed, you will see a yellow bar displayed above the insert. To reset, simply put the key prongs into the bottom of the unit, then remove the key and it will re-engage.
